Japanese wind generation companies accelerate the move to develop the European market. The market leader Eurus Energy will triple the generation ability in Wales, while the second largest J-Power started to operate a power plant with generation ability of 48,000 kW. The third largest Japan Wind Development will construct a power plant with a generation ability of 6,000 kW in Scotland. EU has set the target to increase the ratio of renewables to overall energy sources for generation from the current 8% to 20% by 2020. Each member countries formulated the law system to purchase power created by renewables including wind generation for higher prices to stimulate market entry. Because Europe is blessed with wind coming from the sea, local electric power companies have been energetic to spread generation by renewables since the mid-1990’s. Japanese companies are late entrants in Europe, but they are expanding business utilizing the expertise they accumulated in Japan featured by changing direction of the wind. These three companies find promising business opportunities in the global market with excellent technology and know-how. It sometimes seems better to shift eyes to the world instead of feeling irritated with the slow move of the Japanese government.
